A public learning guide

How to read general Tong Shu date markers.

Use the same careful sequence for each reference: confirm its date and assumptions, understand the traditional labels, and apply your own practical judgment.

  1. 1. Confirm the date

Check the ISO date and reference timezone shown by the calendar.

  2. 2. Read the markers

Learn the meaning of the Day Pillar, Day Officer and any activity labels in the published method.

  3. 3. Notice what is unknown

An unobserved or unavailable marker should remain unknown; do not infer a recommendation from missing information.

  4. 4. Keep context in view

Traditional calendar signals do not guarantee outcomes. Availability, safety, legal duties and professional advice take priority.
