Methodology and provenance
MyTongShu calculates public general-day facts from a versioned Tong Shu method and signed solar-term dataset. The page copy explains those facts; it does not invent or change them.
Year and month boundaries follow the approved Jie Qi/solar-term dataset. Day pillars use the frozen civil-date progression; hour pillars use the recorded local civil time when a time is supplied. Leap-month and 60 Jia Zi handling follow the versioned method.
Public general-day pages use Asia/Kuala_Lumpur. Personal calculations use the resolved birth and forecast locations with historical IANA timezone rules. Nonexistent or ambiguous daylight-saving times, unsupported places and solar-term boundary review zones fail safely rather than being silently guessed.
Day Officers and the approved activity mappings provide the general suitability layer. Daily Flying Star, 28 Mansions, Day Deity, clash, Sha and void information are shown as bounded reference context; they cannot override the primary day or personal tier.
Private results compare approved birth facts with the same general date facts and selected life context. Presentation can be edited later without recalculating the frozen facts or changing their provenance hashes.
Unknown birth time can produce a limited chart but does not unlock paid personalisation where the hour is required. Estimated ranges and dates close to a solar-term boundary remain review-gated until a range-aware method exists.

Each page carries its method and solar-term dataset versions so a later approved revision can be audited separately. Corrections update the affected canonical page and its meaningful sitemap date only. Source code and proprietary rule files are not exposed by this explanation.
